In as little as 22 weeks you can have a diploma that qualifies you to take the state exam. Now that is probably the fastest track I’ve found to make a career change in your life. While your friends are figuring out how old they will be when they pay back their student loans, you are completed with school in less than six months and working.

The employment outlook for nail technicians is at a 20% growth rate over the next four years according to the Department of Labor.  That is right up there with Health Care professionals!

Okay, if you want to be serious about this you could also go for a management position, AT THE SPA! Increasing your responsibility just so your friends are not jealous, you could expand into opening your own salon. Once you have the license and a bit of experience you income potential is only limited by the amount of time you want to work.

With airbrush, gels, and all of the new techniques now available in this industry you can work in a profession that appreciates your artistic side. Spend your day creating, and bringing a little wearable art to your clients. Take that Mrs. Gardner, my teacher in seventh grade that said my doodles were a waste of time!

Work that is also fun never seems to be a chore. I can’t think of a better way to start or change your career with a small investment and a ton of potential.
