About this reference

The Panerai Radiomir reference 6154 was produced in 1954 as a small batch of approximately 30 to 40 units commissioned for the Egyptian Navy. Known by collectors as the "Egiziano Piccolo," this reference is distinguished by its 47mm stainless steel cushion case, which features a slimmer profile and more tapered lugs compared to the preceding 6152. It utilizes the manual-wind Rolex Caliber 618 movement. The dials were originally finished in black with radium-based luminous material, though many surviving examples have aged to a distinct tropical brown hue. Due to its extreme rarity and transitional design between early Radiomir and later Luminor models, the 6154 occupies a high tier in vintage collecting. Current secondary market values typically reside in the mid-to-high six-figure range. A notable 2016 auction result at Phillips saw a well-preserved example achieve over 320,000 CHF.
