These terms apply to Most Expensive Watches and its public data services. Please use the site and its APIs lawfully and respect the rights of data and image owners. Questions: hello@mostexpensivewatches.net.

Information and availability

The site provides watch-market information, editorial material, tools and links to sellers. Data and services are provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, uninterrupted access or that a listed watch remains available. Check the source, date and limitations of the data before relying on it.

Valuations, market indices and comparisons are informational estimates, not an offer to buy or sell, a formal appraisal, an authentication certificate, or investment, legal or tax advice. Prices and exchange rates can change. Your purchase decision should account for condition, provenance, fees, taxes, shipping and independent checks.

Dealer asking prices and auction results

Dealer listings show asking prices observed when the inventory was collected or last refreshed. They are not completed sales or guaranteed executable quotes. The seller controls its price, stock, terms and transaction. Confirm these directly before purchasing.

Auction records describe reported sales and cite their sources. Consult each lot's source and notes for sale date, currency, buyer's premium, conversion and any uncertainty. Do not treat an auction estimate, an asking price, a private commission or a market estimate as an auction result. Coverage of documented sales is not a claim to cover every sale worldwide.

We do not sell the listed watches or become a party to transactions between you and a dealer, marketplace or auction house. Those services have their own terms. Some outbound links may earn us a commission; read our affiliate disclosure.

Auction record ledger license

Our auction record ledger, as identified by its Dataset license, is offered under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You may share and adapt that licensed material, including commercially, with appropriate credit, a link to the license and an indication of changes. Preserve source attribution and do not imply endorsement.

This license does not grant rights in third-party photographs, trademarks, dealer descriptions or other material we do not own. It does not apply to every dataset merely because it appears on this site. Public-domain facts and rights provided by applicable law remain unaffected. These terms do not restrict rights granted under CC BY 4.0.

Public API and MCP

Our public read-only API and MCP server support watch search and research. Keep source links and distinguish asking prices, reported auction results and estimates in downstream displays. Do not fabricate prices, sources, stock or provenance, or present missing data as known.

Use reasonable request volumes and caching. Do not bypass access controls, interfere with availability, submit secrets or personal data in queries, or use the service for unlawful purposes. Endpoints, coverage and response fields may change, and access may be limited to protect the service.

Public API access does not grant a blanket license to redistribute third-party dealer feeds, images or descriptions. The agent feed carries its own record-level scope and attribution information. For bulk, resale or other rights beyond the stated licenses, see data licensing or contact us.

Responsibility and corrections

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by reliance on incomplete, stale or incorrect information or for third-party transactions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
