Panerai Luminor 1950 8 Days

About this reference

The Panerai Luminor 1950 8 Days PAM00203 was released in 2005 as a special edition limited to 150 units. Collectors prioritize this reference because it contains the vintage Angelus SF 240 manual-wind movement, a caliber historically used in 1950s Panerai watches. The 47mm stainless steel case features a 1950-style construction with a patented crown-protecting device and a brown sandwich dial displaying a sub-seconds register at nine o'clock and "8 GIORNI BREVETTATO" text at three o'clock. Due to the limited supply of original Angelus movements, this model occupies a significant position in the brand's modern history. On the secondary market, the PAM00203 typically commands prices in the $60,000 to $90,000 range, though exceptional examples have historically reached six figures. A notable auction result occurred in 2014 when a specimen sold for approximately $100,000, reflecting its status among high-end Panerai collectors.
