About this reference

The Richard Mille RM 30-01 Automatic with Declutchable Rotor was introduced in 2023 as the successor to the original RM 030. This reference remains in current production and features the skeletonized Calibre RMAR2, which incorporates a function indicator to show whether the rotor is engaged or declutched. The mechanism automatically disconnects the winding rotor when the power reserve reaches 55 hours to prevent overwinding and internal tension, re-engaging once the reserve drops to 40 hours. The case is constructed from Grade 5 titanium with a tonneau shape and sapphire crystal dial, representing the brand’s shift toward more ergonomic, thinner profiles compared to earlier generations. On the secondary market, the RM 30-01 in titanium typically commands prices in the mid-to-high six-figure range, often between $210,000 and $260,000. A notable variant exists in 5N red gold with a titanium caseband, though the all-titanium model is prioritized by collectors for its lightweight properties.
