About this reference
The Richard Mille RM 27-02 Only Watch 2015 is a unique piece produced specifically for the 2015 biennial charity auction. This reference introduced the brand’s first unibody baseplate, machined from NTPT carbon to fuse the caseband and baseplate into a single component for increased rigidity and shock resistance. The 47.77mm case utilizes a combination of NTPT carbon and TPT quartz, featuring a distinct white and black striated aesthetic. It houses the manual-winding caliber RM27-02, a tourbillon movement capable of withstanding 5,000 Gs, originally developed for tennis player Rafael Nadal. While the standard production run was limited to 50 pieces, this specific Only Watch edition is a 1-of-1 prototype. At the 2015 Only Watch auction, this specific timepiece sold for 650,000 CHF. On the current secondary market, standard RM 27-02 examples typically trade in the high-six-figure to low-seven-figure range.
