The Rolex reference 6062 was produced for a brief period between approximately 1950 and 1953. It is one of only two vintage Rolex models to feature a triple calendar complication with a moonphase, alongside the reference 8171. Unlike the 8171, the 6062 utilized a three-piece Oyster case with a screw-down back, measuring 36mm in diameter. It is powered by the chronometer-rated caliber 9.75''' movement. Collectors prioritize this reference due to its rarity and the technical complexity of the movement housed within a waterproof case. In the secondary market, 18k yellow gold examples typically command prices ranging from $300,000 to over $1,000,000 depending on dial configuration and condition. A notable variant is the "Stelline" dial, which features star-shaped hour markers. In 2017, a unique 6062 known as the "Bao Dai," featuring a black dial and diamond indexes, sold for over $5 million.
