About this reference
The Patek Philippe Reference 3450 was produced between 1981 and 1985 as the successor to the Reference 3448. Approximately 244 examples were manufactured, nearly all in 18k yellow gold. It is the first Patek Philippe perpetual calendar wristwatch to feature a leap year indicator on the dial, located at 4 o'clock. The watch utilizes the caliber 27-460 QB automatic movement housed in a 37.5mm case with sharp, angular lugs and a snap-on back. Collectors categorize the reference into two series: the first features a red leap year indicator, while the second uses Roman numerals I, II, III, and IIII. On the secondary market, prices typically range from $250,000 to over $600,000 depending on condition and series. A rare white gold variant exists, with only two examples publicly known, one of which achieved a sale price exceeding $1.5 million at auction.
