The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Extra-Thin "Only Watch" reference 15202XT.GG.1240XT.01 was produced as a unique piece for the 2021 Only Watch charity auction. This reference is distinguished by its case construction, which utilizes sandblasted titanium paired with a polished bezel and studs made of a palladium-based Bulk Metallic Glass (BMG). This marked the first time the manufacturer employed BMG, a material valued for its high resistance to scratches and corrosion. The watch features a grey "Petite Tapisserie" dial and is powered by the caliber 2121, the final instance of this movement being used in a 15202 reference before its retirement. As a unique piece, it does not have a standard secondary market price range; however, it sold at Christie’s in November 2021 for 3,100,000 CHF. This result represents one of the highest prices ever paid for a Royal Oak at auction.
